Sandburg Men’s Soccer Ends Season with 1-0 Loss to Oakton

The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team closed its season with a 1-0 loss to Oakton on Thursday evening at Kleine Field.
The Owls (9-4-2 overall, 8-4-2 Region IV) cashed in on a Chargers turnover near midfield in the 12th minute for the only goal of the match as Henry Hunyh connected on a feed to Irfan Krndzija.
Sandburg (6-11-2, 4-10-2) had three shots on goal to Oakton’s seven.
Leonardo Amorim (Sanata Catarina, Brazil/Colegio Catarinese Florianopolis), one of three Chargers keepers on the night, stopped all six shots he faced in 48 minutes of action.
